Nature Owns my Soul
as I remove the vines from around my feet
my spirit stretches for the sky
desperately wanting to be up there
desperately seeking to fly
and as I slowly start to rise
nature twists around my soul
seductive, her leaves eases me down
you can't fly, you ought to know
so her embers dance around my skin
alluring, her flowers entice me
you shall die, she sang, as we will die
as her vines slowly enthrall me
with toxic pleasure I give in to her
in surrender I believe her lie
forgetting my feet did leave the ground
when my gaze fell to the sky
